Readers' Circle

Volunteer-based proofreading and editing service that pairs USC students and faculty
with incarcerated writers

What is USC PEP's Readers' Circle?

The Readers' Circle is a volunteer-based proofreading and editing service that pairs currently and formerly incarcerated writers with students and faculty at the University of Southern California to receive feedback on their written work. If you are a beginner interested in developing your writing skills or have already written a masterpiece and just want someone to check over your work, we would love to hear from you!

We can provide feedback on:
  • Proofreading (spelling and grammar check)
  • Copy-editing (help editing content)
  • General feedback (comments, reactions)
  • Typing/digitization (we will produce an unedited digital version of your work)
  • and More!!

Send your novels, short stories, poems, plays etc. for processing and our Editors will return your writing to you as soon as possible with the requested feedback!
